This happens frequently when a person feels their devotion to a friend means assuming responsibility to solve their friend’s dilemma. In a nutshell, participants learn how to work through their life dilemmas by writing out the problems as they perceive it, brainstorming possible options, choosing one of those options and listing possible consequences of that choice. When we learn how to do this it helps us make well thought out and informed decisions and gives us tools to use in those situations when find ours not knowing what to say.
